Woddy Vapes shows up with one of their newest mods: the X200 TC box mod (with a logo on it similar to the Maserati). With a maximum power output of 200W, a lot of protections and a unique design. Let`s find out more and see whether this mod worth the money or not.
Probably one thing that attracts most to this mod is the nice finishes you will find for all four designs available: Pink, Green, Silver and Black.
Purchasing this mod, in the box, you`ll get the X200 TC mod itself, one micro USB cable, one user manual and one authenticity card.
Unique wood design
Apart from the predominant color, the mod features a wood inlay that is unique.
TC mode available
TC fans will be thrilled to find out that the Woody Vapes X200 box works in TC mode with Ni, Ti, SS coils.
Featuring Gene chip
This mod features the Gene chip made in USA. Therefore the mode is capable to provide the best output and readings.
Full of safety features
It is very important to have a mod that includes a lot of safety features and the Woody Vapes X200 TC box provides no more than 8 protections: reverse battery, overtime, main board over temperature, overcurrent, overcharge/overvoltage, over discharge, short circuit and balanced charging feature.
Woody Vapes X200 TC mod review
I just cannot pass over the overall look of this mod. It is one of the most elegant and nice looking mods I`ve ever seen. With a rectangular shape and soft edges, the mod has a predominant color according to your choice while on one side you`ll see a very interesting wood design that, I don`t know why it makes my mind go to the Grand Canyon.
It`s so nice to have a mod that provides a good impression visually. The material used for the mod is aluminum alloy, which is perfect for a durable mod. Woody Vapes also says that the mod`s paint is baked on just to make sure that it will be very resistant to scratches.
A con regarding the design of the mod is that it is a big size mod and it doesn`t feel that comfortable to keep it in hand. On the other side, the mod is lightweight, with a weight of only 178g (without batteries).
On one side of the mod you have a round shaped fire button that has on it the same wood inlay as on the side. The fire button is large but it has a small issue in the sense that it feels like it is pinned only in the center while the margin of the button wobbles a little.
Below the fire button you`ll see the rectangular shaped OLED screen. The interface of the screen shows primordial information such as the watts, resistance, battery life, voltage or TC settings. The information is comprehensible and I like the fact that they are not too crowded. Below the screen you also have the up and down buttons that will help you adjust the wanted settings.
It is quite easy to use the mod and for sure you already know these commands. In fact the mod doesn`t have menus, you just use these key combination for adjustments. This is nice as for sure many will like the simplistic aspect of the mod.
Five quick presses to the fire button will turn the device on or off. If you press the fire button three times you`ll be able to choose the wanted mode. You can lock the resistance when in TC mode, pressing the fire button and the up button on the same time, while the fire button and the down button will help you to adjust the temperature. For locking and unlocking you have to press all three buttons at the same for two seconds and you can also flip the screen if you press only the up and the down button.
The increments work kind of slow and they raise with one unit. There are many mods around that have a fast increment feature when pressing the up or the down button for a longer time. But not on this one.
On top of the mod there is the 510 spring connection that looks a little bit raised. It looks a little over hanged, but there`s nothing it can bother. It also has a strange position as it`s not in the middle and not on the edge. The good point of the mod is that is capable to house a 25 mm tank. The bad point is that atomizers larger than 22mm will overhang from the 510 connector.
One side of the mod is actually the battery door that is keept in place by magnets. The door fits well and actually, it is barely visible, which is a pretty nice aspect. The mod needs two 18650 cells in order to work.
As you probably guessed the mod supports the TC mode with Nickel, Titanium and Stainless Steel coils. The mod can go up to 200W and the minimum resistance is 0.05 ohm.
The mod works well. It really reacts fast as soon as you pressed the fire button. There are no over-heat problems. The price is a little bit too high for just the things this mod can do.
So, the Woody Vapes X200 TC box has both pros and cons. I find it as an average kind of mod that doesn`t do anything spectacular. It just works fine and it includes different features but there`s nothing that makes it stand out, apart from the wood design.
