Think Vape MKL200 mod review
The box of Think Vape MKL200 mod looks really nice. It has a magnet that keeps it closed, very elegant presentation. The mod itself looks pretty good. It has a rectangular shape with soft edges. Three parts of the mod are covered with leather fact that makes the mod to look quite elegant.
One side has a part made of zinc alloy and carbon fiber that is a fingerprint magnet, so make sure you will always wipe your mod in order to look classy and clean. Another solution of the fingerprint problem is to purchase the all-black model of this mod that doesn`t include the mirror finish.
On the front, there is the rectangular shaped OLED screen. The screen is bright and the information available on it is easily readable.
Just five clicks on the fire button will start your mod. When the device is turned on, the screen shows some useful information such as the mode, the watts, the voltage and the battery life. For the mod to work, you will need two 18650 cells, the screen actually, shows the lifespan of both batteries in separate charts.
By pressing the up and down buttons you can change power. The mod can go up to 200W and if you press the plus button for longer, the watts will increment pretty fast.
Three times pressing the fire button will help to change the mode you want to vape in. You can choose between TC in titanium, stainless steel or nickel by pressing the up and down buttons. You can also switch between the Fahrenheit degrees or Celsius degrees.
An interesting thing is that you can`t really turn off this device unless you take the two 18650 cells out. By pressing the fire button for five times when the device is on, you will be able to block it. Instead, an annoying thing is that after 10 minutes of not using it, the mod will get into sleep mode.
So actually you cannot turn the device off when you want, but it will turn off itself when it wants. This is not that alright as there are many people who don`t vape on and on but they take a little break, so they will always have to turn the device on before starting to use it.
Below the screen there are the up and the down button and below the two buttons, you will see the micro USB port that is for charging the two 18650 cells. Cells tend to charge in a couple of hours and they last for a good part of the day for vapers who use the mod very often. We don’t recommend charging the batteries in the mod. Instead, use an external charger.
The mod doesn`t have a firmware upgrade feature, or at least nowhere is specified if it has or not, so if you always like to keep your mod up to date with the latest options, you won`t be able to do that.
The fire button is located on the edge of the top of the mod, pretty near to the connector, it has a round shape and it`s very clicky. The position of the fire button is good and actually, you can comfortably keep the mod in your hand while pressing the fire button with your big thumb.
At the very bottom, there is the door for the two cells needed for the mod to operate. The door opens in a slide style. You just need to press it a little and slide it in order to open or close it. The plus and minus signs for the battery are clearly shown on the battery door but also on the bottom, inside the mod. Make sure to place those cells in the right way.
There are no venting holes, but actually, the mod doesn`t need them as the overheat protection makes a good job in preventing the mod from overheating.
The 510 connector base, situated on top of the mod, has enough room to house a 25 ml tank. The tank fits the connector pretty well and there are no overhangs.
When it comes about safety, the mod includes different protections like short circuit, low voltage, a reverse connection and overheating.
Overall the built quality is great. The mod works well and there are no problems in the vaping process. The fire button fires instantly, the flavor is very nice and rich while the clouds created are acceptable. There were no overheating problems with the mod.
The MKL 200 makes it an acceptable mod, which means it is not a “wow” kind of product, but it can definitely be a choice for the ones who love compact, elegant looking mods that work well and have a decent ammount of output power.
We recommend this mod for the ones who simply love the TC mode and all the settings it offers for a more personalized vaping experience. If you consider the price, this mod is also an affordable one as the mox costs around $50.
